I tend to fly through projects -- why?
I tend to fly through projects. Been that way for a while.
The first skirt I ever made came together in the wee hours before church one Sunday morning the summer after fifth grade. In school my “best work” often happened in a rush there at the deadline. These days I’ll challenge anyone to fold a basket of laundry faster than I can.
Well, how come?
Why skitter? Why barrel through? Why push and hustle?
Picked up my knitting this weekend and decided to take my time. To feel it, to notice when I’ve had enough and when I want more. To appreciate each interlocking curve and click in the rhythm of craft, of creating. To breathe and pull and settle in deep with Here and Now.
Knit one, yarn over, knit to the end.
