What ministry looks like right now
This is what a lot of my ministry looks like right now.
For better and for worse, we are all in this together, all of the time.
In the above photo, I am simultaneously comforting my daughter and hearing the heart of a new missionary headed to Lebanon; she’ll offer EMDR to people traumatized by their experiences of war and displacement.
On this Zoom call I am (1) distracting and (2) distracted and (3) utterly present to Christ’s mission revealed and fulfilled by it all. By. it. all. The toddler in my lap, the Zoom boxes, the collision of “home-life” and “work-life,” the questions of essentiality and righteousness.
Christ is in it all, y’all.
I pray we have the grace we need to find him in every question and “distraction” of Coronatide.
I pray we have the grace we need for one another when our patience runs dry; we are all so very tired.
I pray the Lord shows up in ways we can see today, like a little girl in Star Wars jammies and a missionary making her move.
